Web Editor and Multimedia Specialist: Dana Point, CA
JOB SUMMARY
Reports to: VP, Digital Media
Overview:
The Action Sports Group is looking for a highly motivated and organized individual who can manage and grow our websites. The perfect candidate will have experience in HTML, Flash, XML, CSS and JavaScript. They will have the passion/drive to take ownership of their site and make it the number one online destination in the space.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the site including, but not limited to: daily updates, content creation and gathering, contributor management, site design and web development.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to produce event micro-sites.
- Work well within a team of developers, content editors and project managers.
- Conceive and implement ideas to grow traffic.
- Anticipate changes and plan accordingly in order to be first to market with coverage and offerings.
- Dedication to SEO
- Ensure all online offerings are on brand.
Skill requirements:
- Optimistic attitude and desire to excel both within a team environment and independently.
- Highly Organized
- Requires 1+ year of professional web work.
- Strong knowledge of HTML required.
- Professional experience with Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Video editing and Flash skills are a plus.
- Excellent creative/aesthetic judgment combined with the ability to take ideas from multiple sources and form a cohesive, compelling, creative result.
- A demonstrated experience in design, typography, and interactive interface design.
- Strong time management abilities
- Excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to work as long as necessary to complete the task.
